Three-fourths of a year down...

Yep, Bailey is officially nine months old! Where has the time gone? It's truly hard to believe that she is such a big girl already. We had her nine month checkup on Monday and here are the stats:

* 20 lbs, 7 oz

* 28 inches (still a little short for her weight but she's catching up)

* right on track developmentally, despite the fact that she still isn't crawling

And my personal best news... she finally said MAMA!! I know it has no meaning to her yet but at least she can say it! It just warms my heart every time (and now it seems to be her favorite word so I get to hear it a lot). Overall, she is doing great - a happy, healthy little girl!

We celebrated Nathan's 27th birthday last week with fajitas at our favorite Mexican restaurant (La Nortena for those of you who are familiar). The waiters were all in love with Bailey and she sure was showing off for them. Maybe it was the bow I corn syruped to her head...

Then we headed to Alabama for my sister's baby shower (T minus 4 1/2 weeks, by the way). We went out on a pontoon boat Friday and then Nate played golf on Saturday while we had the shower. We had a little b-day celebration that night with a red velvet cake, courtesy of my mom (the funny thing is that those candles, while awesome, probably should've been put on the other way so it didn't say "Birthday Happy"... LOL).

We are looking forward to the upcoming weekend because we are having family photos taken out at the beach (let's hope the photographer can get at least one shot of all three of us looking good... a near impossible feat since I am not photogenic in any way) and the Auburn Tigers will be taking on LA Tech Saturday night!! War Eagle!!!!
